A big hit in the halls for JW Rickaby <\/a>in the years immediately before the First World War. It was written for him by William Hargreaves<\/a>. It was later collected from the singing of Bill Smith by his son -its available on A country life – Songs and stories of a Shropshire man<\/em> (MTCD351).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
