EW Rogers (1864-1913) was initially a stage performer but by the early 1880s was a full-time professional songwriter. His hits include Ask a policeman<\/em> for James Fawn and Following in father’s footsteps <\/em>for Vesta Tilley. However, <\/em>his biggest impact was probably the work he did as accompanist and sketch writer for George Robey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
