Today I've been busy removing\nAnd I'm all of a fidgety-fidge\nMy last digs were on the Embankment\nThe third seat from Waterloo Bridge\nBut the cooking and, oh! The attendance\nDidn't happen to suit me so well\nSo I ordered my man to pack up, and\nLook out for another hotel\nHe did, and the new place is 'extra', I vow\nJust wait till I tell you where I'm staying now\n\n I live in Trafalgar Square\nWith four lions to guard me\nFountains and statues all over the place\nAnd the 'Metropole' staring me right in the face\nI'll own it's a trifle draughty\nBut I look at it this way you see\nIf it's good enough for Nelson\nIt's quite good enough for me<\/em>\n\nThe beds ain't so soft as they might be\nStill the temperature's never too high\nAnd it's nice to see swells who are passing\nLook on you with envious eye\nAnd when you wake in the morning\nTo have a good walk for your breakfast\nAnd the same for your dinner and tea\nThere's many a swell up in Park Lane tonight\nWho'd be glad if he only had my appetite\n\n\nWhen I think of those unlucky bounders\nThe Morgans and Clarence de Clares\nWho are forced to put up at the 'Cecil'\nMy tenderest sympathy's theirs\nAnd to show I'm not selfish or greedy\nI just tell each aristocrat\nThat I don't mind exchanging apartments\nNow, I can't say fairer than that\nBut the softheaded sillies won't hear what I say\nThey still go on suffering, while I'm all O.K.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
